Why We Built This Site
Kershaw warrant information is spread across Circuit Court and General Sessions, Magistrate Court, three municipal courts, Family Court, and the Sheriff's Office. There is no single statewide public active-warrant search, and the county does not publish a searchable sheriff roster. A case search may help identify the court, but the issuing office must confirm current service status.
The county courthouse is in Camden, the Sheriff's headquarters is in Lugoff, and city cases may remain with Camden, Elgin, or Bethune. Those different counters make it useful to know which office holds which record before traveling or requesting a copy.
What You Will Find Here
- Case lookup: the Kershaw County warrant lookup and its Public Index limits.
- Current service questions: why the outstanding-warrant route begins with KCSO or the issuing court.
- Missed court: which court may hold a bench warrant and what to ask about a reset.
- Arrest process: how a judge's order and the serving agency fit together in an arrest-warrant case.
- City and traffic matters: the separate payment and court paths for a traffic warrant or municipal citation.
What We Cannot Do
Kershaw County Warrant Records is a private civic reference. It is not the Clerk's Office, sheriff, police department, court, or state agency. The public contacts and explanations here do not provide an official status decision.
- We cannot run an official warrant check or certify that no warrant exists.
- We cannot withdraw, recall, quash, or clear a court order.
- We do not take bond, fines, ticket payments, or request fees.
- We cannot schedule surrender or arrange a court date.
- We cannot advise how a warrant applies to a person's case.
- We cannot promise that every office detail or public record is current.
Only the issuing court can recall or quash its order. The Sheriff's Warrants Division can answer questions about records and service in its files.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are run by outside providers. Those providers process the information entered under their own terms and privacy practices. If a referral leads to a paid signup, the site may receive a fee. The provider controls its charges and results; a third-party search is not an official Kershaw County warrant confirmation.
